Mr. Nicolaas Buyck, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium presented the Benelux union of which Belgium is a member, together with Luxembourg and the Netherlands, and holds the presidency this year.

He also showed in the presentation how the Benelux is a unique and successful model of cooperation within the European Union, presenting its functioning and its objectives as well as some of its new projects, showing why the Benelux is still relevant today as an organization.

Europe in Zagreb – Ambassador Talks project started in 2005 with the aim of informing citizens about the member states of the European Union. Through this project, we strive to bring the citizens of the City of Zagreb closer to the idea of ​​European integration, as well as the relations of the European Union with other countries. At the lectures, the ambassadors of the countries in the Republic of Croatia talk about the experiences of their countries as members of the European Union. Also, the ambassadors of other countries of the world, accredited in the Republic of Croatia, talk about relations with the European Union and the Republic of Croatia.
